Tae Kwon Do Student Oath
  1. I shall observe the tenants of Tae Kwon Do

  2. I shall respect instructors and seniors and parents

  3. I shall never misuse Tae Kwon Do

  4. I will be a champion of freedom and justice and for my limitations

  5. I will build a best community through the Tae Kwon Do practice

13 Creeds of Tae Kwon Do
  1. 1.Be loyal to your country.

  2. 2.Be obedient to your parents.

  3. 3.Be loving to your family.

  4. 4.Be cooperative with others.

  5. 5.Be respectful to your elders.

  6. 6.Be faithful to your instructor(s).

  7. 7.Be honest in your personal affairs.

The 5 Zones of Self-Defense

W H I T E   BELT
The lack of color signifies purity and innocence. The novice has no knowledge of Tae Kwon Do.

Y E L L O W   BELT
The color of the rising sun. Seeds in the ground begin to germinate and grow. Basic Tae Kwon Do techniques begin to be learned.

P U R P L E   BELT
The color purple represents the changing sky of dawn, as once again the student undergoes a new change.  The physical and mental power continue to stabilize.

O R A N G E   BELT
The color orange signifies the changes of Autumn, as the student's mind and body begin to develop and grow as a result of the new Tae Kwon Do experience.

G R E E N   BELT
The color green represents growth as the Tae Kwon Do skill begins to develop like that of the green plant as it sprouts out of the ground. The student has built a firm foundation and now begins to grow in the art of Tae Kwon Do.

B L U E   BELT
The color blue represents the Heaven, towards which the plant matures into a towering tree as training in Tae Kwon Do progresses reminding the student to reach for the heavens and continue their Tae Kwon Do journey.

R E D   BELT
The color of blood signifies danger and is a warning to the student to temper her newly found skills and techniques with control and wisdom.

B L A C K   BELT
Black is the combination of all color. The final stage where technique is mastered within the humble and serene beauty of the plant.

  1. To build true confidence through knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart, strength in the body

  3. Never fight to achieve selfish ends but to develop might for right

DOJANG ETIQUETTE
  1. Bow when you Enter or Exit the Dojang

  2. Bow before stepping Onto or Off Of the Mat

  3. Bow when you see a Master, an Instructor, or a  Black Belt

  4. Always answer questions with “Yes/No Sir” or “Yes/No Ma’am”

  5. Bow to each other and shake hands after each class
